The Double Dutch Beanie

this beanie has been by far my easiest to write and get done. However it’s been my longest running project because unfortunately it’s always been pushed to the back burner. I think it’s mostly because I didn’t need to tweak and change and rewrite. It was so simple and I even unraveled the last few rounds and redid those rounds AND I DIDN’T EVEN REFERENCE THE PATTERN. I don’t know why I’m yelling. I think I’m just so overwhelmed by how easy this beanie was. The whole process. And look how cute it is.

In case you haven’t caught on, I’m super bad at naming hats and I have really bad anxiety so I have a hard time asking people to help me come up with a name. That’s how I get these usually terrible names. Last smidge if info, this beanie was only tested twice by me so if you find any errors, PLEASE let me know.

Some stitches and techniques you need to know.
* FSC – Foundation single crochet
* HDC – half double crochet
* DC – Double crochet / DC Criss cross – Skip a stitch, double crochet in the next st, dc in the stitch that you just skipped.

Special note – Whatever your foundation stitch count is how many stitches you will have in your rounds until you start your decrease rounds. So if you start with a foundation of 56, you will have 56 stitches in each round until you start decreasing.
